This piece was initially painted from Life and completed in Studio. I was totally enraptured with the sitter and was enthralled with capturing her soft, soulful gaze, which seemed to hold lifetimes of tales and experiences. The sketched underpainting was a search and journey into my expression of her personality. Every line was an experience into her soul, every brushstroke; a deeper connection.
