While attending a wedding in Sydney, we stayed at Double Bay close to the bay itself. I went down to the local beach and found this quaint picturesque spot with a quiet beach opening out to the water, with boats and yachts moored in the still air. On the beach sun baking is a mother with her young child playing at the waters edge while his blue towel lays out on the sand. The scene is typical of the Sydney Harbour bays lined with prime location houses and apartment blocks. The jetty was old with character. It was morning but becoming quite hot, a typical Australian January day.
