She lives within boundaries. She watches the sunset every day through the hatch, hoping to enervate the barricades. In this painting my attempt is to picture frameworks and lines those unpleasantly limiting our freedom. However, they might seem right and necessary. Sunset view through a window, seated woman, staircase, houses alongside the street, moving car … in dark cubic forms, defined by brighter lines and surfaces are symbolising the aggregated limitations of routines and normalities.
