Abandoned house and the harpist, as I’ve been painting a series’s subject of the music, sound of each music instrument has been the main inspiration for me to characterise the musicians and transfer them into an abstract painting. This time we have a Harpist, I decided to break the cliché of having my Harpist in a glamorous and luxurious palace with cherry blossom in the air. I thought why don’t I use the magic of the music to bring back something that has been dead or useless to the life, why not to paint the musician in an old and abandoned house, could that contrast work to make better abstract forms and colours?!
Yes, I think it worked and turned into a beautiful and dynamic combination of forms and colours.
