This painting captures the beauty of a plein-air scene behind Flinders St. Station, looking back from Queens St. I was inspired by the urban landscape, capturing the energy of the bustling city while also showcasing the natural elements that make this location so unique. It was also fun to paint—and reveal—an unexpected scene, in this case, the lesser known side of this beautiful building. This artwork is a humble tribute to this iconic Melbourne location, as well as the iconic moment of Victorian art history.
