This work was painted in studio from a plein air oil sketch I did during a painting session on the banks of the Barwon River at Barwon Heads (VIC). At the time, the tide was coming in and beginning to engulf a sandy embankment. This particular small sail boat, on it's own, was slowly being engulfed by the tide.
