A contemplative nude, painted on metal she is reflective of my own love of and struggle with my body and the process of breastfeeding. The lack of harmony between my emotional state, physical discomfort, and love for my young daughter leave me going through cycles of thought. Aspects both attached and detached from my body as mine and also as one that belongs to her needs. In collaboration with my model, and photographer Frank Packer, this Allegory asks the viewer how they navigate the internal and external relationship of their body, how it's controlled and navigated in-person, as well as in online social spaces (where it could be altered or censored).
