Alex Jobbagy
As both a formally and self-educated artist, my practice has always been deeply rooted in an exploration of the social and political forces that shape our lives. From a young age, I have been drawn to the ways in which these forces impact the individual's struggle for survival and transcendence. I had my first solo exhibition at the age of 13, a pivotal moment that sparked my ongoing pursuit of artistic expression.
Education
Born in Transylvania (Romania), living in Melbourne since 1987.
In 2020 my career has come full circle. I began my professional journey as an artist, then specialized in commercial graphic design and marketing, where I gained 30 years of experience. Now, I am returning to my roots in the fine arts, dedicating an increasing amount of time to creating original works through painting and graphic art.
