“The Wearable Artist” is my still life that embodies the resolve I came to after winning the Emerging Artist Award at the Australian Wearable Art Festival in 2022.
My tools and inspirations are captured as objects imbued with personal meaning and importance.
Taking these dressmaking objects and rendering them in oil on board consolidates my commitment to artistic practise, whatever the medium I employ, propelling inanimate objects to life under my hand and through my imagination.
“The Wearable Artist” continues my exploration of still life as a form of portraiture.
