The Water is Warm depicts a young woman sinking into a portal-like, watery abyss. The piece reflects the internal, solitary journey of surrendering to change and embracing the unknown. I created this work during a turbulent time in my life—grappling with heartbreak, the pain of closing chapters, and the quiet acceptance of fate. Change is inevitable, often lonely, but deeply transformative. This painting reminds me of that truth. Like warm water enveloping the body, there is comfort in the letting go.
