The Victorian Artists Society Celebrating 150 Years
Eileen Mackley AM, President of the Victorian Artists Society discusses the 150th Anniversary of the Victorian Artists Society, the restoration of the building, and the expansion of services for the artists with Ron Smith, VAS Media Coordinator.
On behalf of the Council of the Victorian Artists Society, we would like to wish all of our member artists, sponsors, volunteers, and friends, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Safe New Year.
We look forward to the Galleries being open for the upcoming Exhibitions planned in 2021 in a COVID normal way, and welcoming all art lovers into the venue.
The year has ended with little activity in exhibitions in the Galleries but great results achieved in the new website and the completion and publication of the beautiful 150th Commemorative Book. The book titled 'VICTORIAN ARTISTS SOCIETY 1870-2020 CELEBRATING 150 YEARS', may be purchased on application to the VAS office at 03 9662 1484 or online, and would make an ideal Christmas gift.
Christmas closure
The Victorian Artists Society will close on Friday 18 December 2020 and will reopen to the public on Wednesday 13 January 2021.
The first Exhibition for 2021 will be the Summer Exhibition..
