Symphony of Hope Carved from Huon pine—a Tasmanian rare timber valued not only for its beauty but also its quiet strength. This sculpture grew out of a deep response to Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. I wanted to give form to its spirit: a movement toward hope, unity, and fellowship that still speaks to us today. As I shaped the flowing lines, it felt like the wood itself echoed the music’s message—resilient, grounded, and full of grace. Symphony of Hope is my way of honouring the power of music to draw us together and lift us beyond ourselves.
