At this Workshop, Raymond will present his direct approach to painting a still life. Raymond will demonstrate a complete still life painting, whilst providing tips and explaining his approach. This includes, from materials used, explaining how he settles on a composition, approaches, measurement and angles. He will use limited drawing, pre-toned linen, broad block-ins and then he will take care on the point of focus and the capture of light. All this is will be assisted by his visual knowledge and experience in colour mixing. Then he will guide attendees in creating their own work from a variety of setups in the VAS Studio.
