The fresh morning light on the sea and sand lights up every sense. I took this photo in early March after a conversation with a stranger sitting on the path looking over this beautiful bay. He was seated on a bench and wearing a straw hat. I immediately thought of the Impressionists. In a few weeks the 9 x 5 opportunity came to my attention. Serendipity is nearly always a part of art. I worked in acrylic with a limited palette so that the impact of the wide blue sky and sea is fully felt.
