Across two Sunday afternoons artists will expore portrait fundamentals of proportion and lighting whilst developing palette brush and colour skills.

From reference provided we will look at overall facial proportion and the finer points of eyes, nose, mouth and ears. On the second Sunday session we will all paint a full or half sheet portrait from reference provided or a reference of your own selection (this will need to be seen and approved by Julian on the first Sunday though).

This workshop will suit both Beginners if they have a basic level of understanding of watercolour technique and Intermediate painters if looking to develop their specific portrait skills and techniques.
