Want to improve your understanding of the visual world and how to translate that with oil paint?

In this workshop, we will explore the local parks and street surrounding Victorian Artists Society and practice the discipline of plein air painting.

We will cover a variety of topics including:

• Materials and set up

• Composition

• Tones/values

• Colour

• Edges

• Paint application/quality

The workshop is primarily one on one critiques, with a demonstration / initial talk to commence. The aim of the workshop is to enhance our visual understanding of the world and how to replicate that in a realistic way through he medium of cool paint using traditional materials and techniques. By the end we should have the skills necessary to feel confident heading out into the world on our own painting adventures!
