This is a painting of one of the most memorable places I have been to. Standing on the edge of these wetlands I thought I must try and replicate the feeling of wanes and privilege I experienced being there. The depths to the water the reflections of paperbarks needed an approach different to any I had used before. This is painted on Yupo paper with water based inks, and paints painted in stages that took me over a year as I put it away from time to time. It is also a large sheet of paper. I simply hope it conveys the special lace that this is.
