PORTRAIT PAINTERS IN ACTION OPEN DAY
Yesterday the Victorian Artists Society held the Portrait Painters In Action Open Day.
Victorian Artists Society artists skilfully captured the human spirit by painting and drawing portraits from models in the upstairs galleries against the backdrop of the Annual Portrait Exhibition.
During the sessions, the artists used a variety of mediums including pencil, pastel, watercolour, oil and sculpture to complete their portrait of the model.
Visitors were able to observe the portraits taking shape during the day.
A big thank you to the models, the artists, staff and the volunteers for organising such an outstanding event.
