This was painted for an exhibition organised by landcare. The Barwon River abounds with wildlife and I was lucky enough to capture this wonderful image to paint. Keeping the foliage loose, I was able to highlight the beautiful form of the bird whilst at the same time incorporating my favorite colours as a backdrop.
