At the recent Victorian Artists Society Annual General Meeting, held on 9 December 2021, Artist Richard Impey was elected as President.
Richard Impey is a digital and multidisciplinary artist. He has taught in schools for thirty years from Prep to VCE.
He has completed a Master in Educational Studies with a focus on Art and ICT. Richard was a winner of the Herald Sun and Monash University Teacher of the Year, for the best use of new technology (Primary).
Richard is a councillor and facilitator of the Education committee at the Victorian Artists Society, a member of the Brighton Art Society, and a member of the Firestation Print Studio and MAVA.
Richard now works full time as an artist and runs art classes and workshops.

On behalf of the Council of the Victorian Artists Society, we would like to wish all of our member artists, sponsors, volunteers, and friends, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Safe New Year.
We look forward to the Galleries being open for the upcoming Exhibitions planned in 2022 in a COVID safe way, and welcoming all art lovers into the venue.
The Victorian Artists Society office will close on Friday 17 December 2021 and will reopen to the public on Wednesday 12 January 2022.
Workshops will be held in the VAS Art Studio from 8 January until 26 January 2022.
Term 1 Art Classes will begin in the VAS Art Studio from Monday 31 January 2022.
The first Victorian Artists Society Exhibition for 2022 will be the Summer Exhibition.
