Julian will be conducting a two-day workshop exploring Maritime Painting in Watercolour.

The workshop will look at painting the sea and the introduction of sailing craft. There will be information on the fundamentals of various ships and boats of a bygone era with practical step by step painting direction. He will be giving specific instruction of the merits and technique of ‘brush ruling’ a fundamental skill in painting the rigging and masts in sailing vessels.

Julian’s workshops are popular, and this unique opportunity will be limited to 15 participants.

This workshop will be held in the Frater Gallery alongside the Australian Society of Marine Artists exhibition in our Frater Gallery, and the annual VAS Maritime exhibition in the McCubbin & Hammond Galleries.
