Currently Lihong has chosen the Lotus flower as a reflection of her culture and a subject for the further exploration of modern impression. These works have a sensitivity to colour and light, bringing a fresh interpretation to the impressionist oeuvre.
They have an exclusive colourful appearance that could be recognised as Lihong’s style.
The artist uses the lotus flower in her painting series to encourage people to continue determinedly through their life, and present their best piece to the outside world. The Lotus flower symbolises the charm of Oriental Zen, calm and harmony. Lihong also create oil paintings on various other subjects including landscape, holiday series and so on.
