The painting I've chosen is about how we live to share with and care for one another. One day, I was sitting in a lovely Chinese restaurant admiring the colour of the chairs and the ambiance of the place, when suddenly a drunken old man came in. The staff and owner were very generous and caring, not only to me as a customer but also to the drunken old man, providing him with free soup and a safe place in his vulnerable state. I wanted to capture the moment in a picture so that someday I could paint the scene with this lovely story behind it.
