'Evening At The River' aims to capture the peace and calm found in nature. It depicts a moment I experienced while in the bush with my camera. A solitary moment of peace that's rare in the rat race of city life.
This oil on wood artwork is an artistic interpretation of a reference photograph taken at that moment. I chose a split-complementary colour scheme to create harmony between the main subjects; the trees, the water and the sky. The composition is deliberately tonal to evoke tranquillity.
