Without Water there would be no beautiful gardens or waterfalls in Japan. No temple gardens or mossy rocks. There would be no rainforests or water spurting from blowholes in Tasmania. No gorges or painted cliffs. And there would be no waterhole oases in the middle of Outback Australia.

My paintings depict the beauty of both formal and informal gardens, which, without the essential addition of adequate rainfall, would not exist.

The rainforests, the vineyards and farms and beautiful waterways in Tasmania all depend on rain.

Whilst Australia has been inundated with rains and flooding recently, we can become complacent.

We do not know what is around the corner in terms of more extreme weather patterns, or more droughts.

I feel the need to show the beauty of the world and hope that the powers that be will make decisions so that the gardens, forests, and natural wonders continue for many generations to come.
