After winning first prize in the Box Hill Rotary Club Art Show Raffle, Wayne Leslie began his love affair with Australian Art.
Regular visits to the Victorian Artists Society led to joining the Society’s Council, observing artists at work, going away on adventures and making very dear friendships.
Introduced to the Tonalist style of Meldrum, Wayne started collecting Australian Tonalist paintings and in particular the Meldrum School (known as Meldrumites) and those that followed Meldrum’s Tonal theories.
'These paintings have given me years of unrivalled pleasure. I hope you enjoy them as much as l have'.
