Oil on 9mm AA grade marine plywood panel, sealed with premium quality varnish for protection. Framed in Tasmanian Oak, floating style frame, ready to hang. This painting is inspired by a lookout in the North of Iran, during a recent travel. As the sun’s orange glow spread over the cliffs and vegetation it reminded me of a poem by Greta Zwaan: 'The sun begins to scatter the clouds that claimed the night,
The glowing lights of colour make darkness take its flight.
At first there’s but a glimmer as colour finds its way
And then great bursts of sunshine announce a brand-new day.
The harmony of colours dance in the morning mist,
They’re orange, they’re red, they’re yellow; what colours they enlist!
They touch and mould together, they snap as they join hands,
The music is ethereal and then they break their bands.' An original one-off painting. Signed on the back. Comes with a certificate of authenticity
