The image of the Silver Gulls on the Maribyrnong River expresses my emotional response to the quirky majesty of the gulls and the changing surface of the river at Footscray. Lockdown and the 5 kilometre limit intensified the exhilaration of engaging with the natural world in the inner city and invoked remembered emotions of a time without pandemic.
