Born in Sydney in 1927 Beryl Anderson studied at East Sydney Technical College and later worked in London in advertising and commercial art. She moved to Geelong in 1967 where she studied for a Diploma of Fine Art at the Gordon Institute of Technology and commenced painting. She is a figurative expressionist painter of landscapes in oils and acrylics and won the 1977 VAS Artist of the Year Award.
