In this workshop, Fiona will teach you her approach to painting the portrait in oils. She will begin by introducing her materials and will then do a quick demonstration of how she begins her portraits. You will then work along with Fiona through each stage of the painting – from the basic block in of the big mass to the application of colour and rendering the painting.

Fiona will discuss capturing a likeness, modelling, tone and colour. All the while working from a live model!

All levels are welcome. Some basic life drawing experience is helpful.
