An introduction to gouache techniques in landscape painting. We will talk about how we see the world around us and what ‘landscape’ means to us.
In this session we will use a photo reference and learn to understand how to use it effectively to create a painting that is full of life and depth.
We will explore how to achieve a compelling atmosphere using this water based medium. The aim of this workshop is to understand how gouache behaves (and misbehaves) and the use of colour in various levels of transparency.
At the end of the workshop students will be able to understand the different methods of application, the transparent and opaque layering process and colour relationships.
All levels welcome!

We would like to pay our respects to the traditional owners of the land on which our building stands, their leaders, past, present and emerging.
