My eye was drawn to the flurry of autumn leaves on the surface of the pond in the Queen Victoria Gardens, set off against the reflected blues of the sky. I decided to focus on a fragment of the landscape, and tried to capture the quintessence of autumn in the colours and abstract shapes of the leaves.
