My multidisciplinary practice spans across installation, sculptural assemblage, mixed media painting, and durational performance. My practice operates as a form of world building as i construct immersive structures and environments. My work is built to be activated, disrupted or subtly reconfigured. completing the work through engagement and disruption. Material investigation is central as i rework discarded objects into new identities. Working across shifts in scale, material and site specific installation. Refracting the overstimulation and states of escapism adopted from rave cultures structures through duration, excess, collectivity, repetition and after effects. As a methodology for making and experiencing work.
My practice has been a constantly grounding force in my life but truely evolved while residing in Amsterdam, where an obsession with translating overstimulating spaces began. During my time there i organised a collaborative group show with various international artists spanning across multiple disciplines. My desire to create environmental change and community engagement through my practice expanded. I'm currently studying visual art at RMIT.
We would like to pay our respects to the traditional owners of the land on which our building stands, their leaders, past, present and emerging.
