Presented as part of Imprint: What Remains, this special workshop accompanies Nathalie Anne’s solo exhibition Held in Line, inviting students to engage with the creative process adjacent to the gallery environment.
This welcoming, beginner-friendly session, will guide participants through the enchanting process of painting on silk using traditional resist techniques and vibrant dyes. Students will experiment with colour, explore simple floral compositions, and create their very own hand-painted silk scarf, a unique wearable artwork to take home or gift.
Designed to be playful, relaxed and inspiring, the workshop offers a meaningful way to celebrate Mother’s Day. Participants may choose to bring Mum along for a creative experience together and enjoy a relaxed outing side-by-side, all whilst creating a thoughtful handmade gift.
No prior experience is required, only the curiosity and willingness to explore the beauty of colour and the flowing qualities of silk painting.
Set within the beautiful and historic surroundings of the gallery and alongside Nathalie Anne’s Exhibit in the Frater Gallery, this intimate workshop will provide a lovely opportunity to slow down, connect and enjoy the experience of creating something truly special.
