My study included graphic design at Swinburne and postgraduate community education and development. Art study tours to Europe and North America and selected master classes.
I have worked as a graphic designer, a director, lecturer and arts manager. I have taught numerous workshops at the National Gallery and Melbourne art societies.
I was born into an artistic family, and I am the youngest daughter of Australian war artist Alex Gurney ,creator of the legendary Bluey and Curley series cartoon.
I am a mother and grandmother. I love my family and my painting!
Education
Melbourne artist Margaret Gurneys love of painting and drawing has been unnatural part of her life. Her contemporary style emphasises shape, and form.
Margaret works directly from life, painting outdoors or from a model in his studio. She develops these in true into finished paintings.
Winner of numerous art prizes including 23 solo exhibitions and selected group exhibitions nationally and internationally. In 2009 she represented Australia in the flower Florence be an ally and was featured in the television show. Put some colour in your life.
