Mano Saraswati

Hi there, my name is Mano, I am a Melbourne based artist.  I Mostly work on watercolour, but also love carbon & graphite sketch, soft pastel. 

I am mostly self taught, and open to observe different techniques of how,  different artists use the same material in their own style. 

It all started during my Sarcoma, Radiotherapy followed with a major surgery that I had in 2024, as I was bed bound post surgery my lovely wife brought me a set of watercolour and a pad of 300gsm. Just to keep me engaged occI adore nature, I love to travel. Every beautiful moment in life brings inspiration. I am so grateful to my wife ( Prema) who instigated me to start painting, when I was bed resting after my sarcoma surgery, I was always a sketch artist, never really got into colours, but the connection I had as soon as the colour touched that I started to paint as it opens my eyes so much and I started to see so many more details and wonders in simple things.  For me, painting is a wonderful way to share those beautiful moments.  Hope you enjoy the journey with me.
