The library at Monash Caulfield had just been renovated very carefully. Everything was in its place and looked and smelt very clean. By contrast, the roof through the window looked refreshingly haphazard with its lurching 'masts', unevenly drawn blinds and random coils and other pieces metal. Beyond the roof and the strictly horizontal wall there was a further contrast of the natural orderliness of the suburb with its many trees and buildings.
