Liz’s interest in art started at a young age but was only pursued seriously twelve years ago; her painting preferences are portraits or figurative subjects in pastel or oils.
A stay in a remote indigenous community in the East Kimberley heightened an already keen interest in Aboriginal history and culture, and a belief too that reconciliation starts with individual awareness. The resulting indigenous portraits and figurative studies in this exhibition are a small contribution to that end.
Also, on display are a selection of cafe scenes from past sketching visits to Paris.
