Liz Millsom & Susan Morris: Wild Things

Location: Cato Gallery

4 Nov 2025 – 17 Nov 2025

Opening event 6pm, 6 November

A shared love of native flora and fauna inspires this beautifully observed exhibition of paintings and limited edition intaglio and drypoint prints by artists Liz Millsom and Susan Morris.

Drawn from their local surroundings and travels around Australia, both artists portray the inhabitants of the landscape with sensitivity and appreciation drawing on their respective skills and experience. Liz is well known for her portraits of the two dingoes that live with her family.

Liz millsom

Liz Millsom is a Melbourne based artist who has exhibited throughout Melbourne solely and collaboratively. A passionate portrait painter, printmaker and illustrator who depicts the human and animal form in various settings. I am interested in the Australian environment and concerned about the ongoing threats to the Australian ecosystems.

I am an ardent devotee of the Australian First Nations history, sustainability and culture. I would like to see the preservation of our precious native plants, birds and animals. Through observational drawing and working from photographs, my intention of my artworks is to evoke a strong response to the viewer.
When you look at my artwork, I want you to feel the strength, beauty and soul of the subject matter. What it means to you and why it matters.
