Meet the Artist Event 12 November 1pm - 3pm
Location: Cato Gallery
Originally this exhibition was planned to happen in 2020 and was to be known as 'Twenty Twenty Vision' but due to Covid this had to be postponed.
We now present 'Vision Of Light' which comprises of paintings done from 2019 to 2022 plus a few paintings done in previous years including small self-portrait done in 1977.
I have always loved painting and music from an early age. I started oil painting around the age of 12 years and continued on and off over the years concentrating more seriously after retirement.
I particularly enjoy painting ‘en plein air’ and using oils to capture the amazing scenery of brilliant light and colour. I have many favourite artists from the Impressionist style such as Monet, Pissaro, Sisley as well as The Heidelberg School of Artists and the Dutch artist, Vermeer.
I also enjoy drawing with Coloured Pencils and have included a couple of drawings of scenes from overseas trips. Also included are some experimental oil paintings to add some variety.
This is my first Solo Exhibition at the Victorian Artists Society and hope that all that attend will enjoy my exhibition.

We would like to pay our respects to the traditional owners of the land on which our building stands, their leaders, past, present and emerging.
