Lara Wentworth
Lara Wentworth is a Melbourne-based emerging artist working in oil, watercolour and acrylic. From drawing on walls in the family home (and wondering why her art was being wiped- off) to discovering Monet and Van Gogh before hitting double-digits, the seeds for creativity were sown at an early age and her love of art has set the stage for a creative outlook on life.
A VCE art graduate, Lara has returned to painting and drawing time and again. From short courses at St Ives School of Painting and Newlyn School of Art in Cornwall, to oil painting courses, drawing studies and portraiture under the tutelage of Victorian artist Ben Winspear, and more recently studying at the Victorian Artists Society.
Lara takes inspiration from the sea, land, and sky, and regularly studies the figure through life drawing in Nillumbik and is currently developing her tonal skills in still life realism.
