The painting is an interpretation of an iron ore miner. It features two faces in opposing directions, symbolizing the dual aspects of the miner's experience — the hardships and resilience. The colours and forms are abstract, conveying a sense of raw energy and industrial grit and a throwback to the colours that the 9 by 5 artists used to frame their paintings.
