'Il Gatto', 'the cat', is a reduction Lino cut original print inspired by a drawing I did while staying for a few days in a small Italian town, Locorontondo. I remember it being a super hot day and I watched this cat from my window, lying in the shade near a pot of red geraniums. I have tried to capture the beautiful textures of the stonework and the cat itself. I used 6 colours in this print, so 6 separate stages for each of the prints,
