Looking at the idea of buying a home, it seems an ideology, something that is out of reach, an optical illusion. The house I have portrayed in this piece was very similar to my parents first home in suburbia Melbourne. Back then it was possible, still difficult, but it was attainable, now a days that dream seems to be too far away.
