Travelling to Newcastle Beach was a huge treat for me as a child and teen - we lived far from the coast. This part of Newcastle has an Ocean Pool, Canoe Pool (google helps) and a wonderful beach. Even when the weather was wild it energised me. As an artist I'm excited by the changing colours and forms of the ocean, but particularly by the stories created by the interaction of the beach, people, and even dogs.
