The Judge for this year's Spring Select Exhibition will be Ben Winspear.
Ben Winspear is a Melbourne based artist who works in both oil and watercolour. His work encapsulates a wide range of subject matter; anything that inspires him at the time. The Spring Exhibition features the Gordon Moffatt AM Spring Prizes for:
Works entered into the VAS Spring Exhibition must not have been previously exhibited at VAS. Digital works will not be included in this exhibition.
A selection process will be undertaken by the VAS Council Select Committee, based on quality, execution and presentation of works. Unsuccessful entrants will be advised of the reasons for not being selected.
All current members of VAS are encouraged to vote in the VAS Spring Exhibition. Votes go towards inclusion in the Mavis Little Artist of the Year Award Exhibition.
The opening event for the VAS Spring Exhibition is on Tuesday 12 September from 7pm.
You can bring your artwork into the building for the VAS Spring Exhibition on either:
Wednesday 6 September between 11am and 3pm or Thursday 7 September from 11am and before 2pm.
Members may submit up to 1 artwork and 3 sculptures.
The entry fee is $20 per artwork and can be paid at reception or by using the online entry form here. There is a minimum sale price of $400 for artworks.
Click on the link to view the instructional video below showing you how to enter your art work online. Online entries must be uploaded to the online gallery by Tuesday 5 September for processing.
Please note that this is a two step process. You must first upload your artwork to your profile, and then enter it into the exhibition. Simply uploading the work does not automatically enter it into the exhibition.
Remember to bring your artwork into the galleries if you enter the work online.
We would like to pay our respects to the traditional owners of the land on which our building stands, their leaders, past, present and emerging.
