Jim Minogue was a painter and graphic artist who studied under Max Meldrum.
Born in 1890 he devoted much of his long career to the VAS as a Councillor and from 1949 to 1955 as its Secretary. A memorial exhibition was held at the VAS after his death in 1955. In 1989 the VAS acquired his ‘Elephant Study’ a work in ink similar to that held in the Collection of the NGV.
