This course focuses on developing artists’ ability to accurately perceive and render the world around them through drawing.

Working from the live model as well as casts and sculptures, artists will be guided in drawing from observation, in the process developing an understanding of form, light, proportion and gesture.

Over the ten weeks, students will explore various approaches to pencil drawing, developing techniques both analytical and expressive.

Suitable for all levels, students will develop a new sense of proficiency and confidence in creating rich and compelling drawings.
