The strangely straight waterfall cutting the glass surface of the water is Dight's Falls, on Birrarung / the Yarra River, in Abbotsford. It has changed a lot over the years but these days it is a flat weir that provides a ladder for fish to make their way upriver and keeps the water upstream deep enough for kayaking and rowing year round.
