I have had many inspirational teachers in various art disciplines including watercolours, pastels, oils, drawing, printmaking and briefly ceramics. One of the earliest words of advice from a teacher when I was a very busy mother with little time or opportunity to paint still guides my work - "paint what your life is about". It's mostly about people - figurative and portraiture and whatever else I love in my life, including still life, landscape and interiors.
I have sold many paintings over the years in local art shows, won some commendations and awards in AGRA and I have a gallery in my own home which can be viewed by appointment.
I have a teaching Instagram cinziadavenci which was particularly appropriate during COVID.
I was born in Melbourne in 1947 and have been practicing art all my life. I have had many teaching jobs, firstly in Primary education and then specializing in Art and Craft, working with Indigenous children in remote Arnhem land, N.T.
During the 1990's my husband and our four Teens and Tweens established "Young Artists" for primary and secondary school age students in Melbourne.
More recently I have taught watercolour and drawing classes in Community Centers.
We would like to pay our respects to the traditional owners of the land on which our building stands, their leaders, past, present and emerging.
